When a design feels right, the print-ready pack unlocks an unwatermarked 118 by 1902 pixel PNG plus an A4 PDF containing all five variants at the standard 10 by 161 mm size. Print it accurately

Open the unlocked PNG or PDF in your print workflow and choose Actual Size or 100% scaling. Do not use Fit to Page. Test on ordinary paper first, then make the final copy on matte paper. The dimensions guide and print guide walk through trimming and inserting the strip beneath the clear sleeve.

Generator tips

Keep the name short enough to read from a shelf. The game title alone is usually better than adding platform, edition, or a long subtitle. For a collection category, use familiar labels such as “Indies,” “Favorites,” or “Party Games.” A concise name keeps the lettering clean and makes the final strip recognizable at a glance. If a title has punctuation or a number, keep it exactly as you would want to see it on the case.

Choose color with the physical shelf in mind. Dark green, navy, charcoal, and burgundy make a calm library; aqua, yellow, pink, and blue make a playful one. Build a visual family by repeating two or three palettes across related games instead of assigning every case a random color. Pair the palette with one bold symbol that will still read at the narrow physical size.

Compare all five compositions before unlocking. Collector works well for premium editions, Poster gives artwork more space, Velocity suits racing and action titles, Minimal keeps a quiet shelf, and Pattern creates a playful rhythm. The variants share a title and visual theme but deliberately change their composition and supporting palette.

For the cleanest result, print the PDF at 100% on 120 to 180 gsm matte photo paper. Allow the printer to finish fully, then trim slowly using a metal ruler and fresh craft blade. Put the strip beneath the clear sleeve rather than gluing it to the case. This protects the original insert and gives you an easy way to change the design later.

Use only artwork you created or have permission to print. A user upload is useful for personal photographs, original illustrations, homebrew art, and licensed assets. Avoid treating copied commercial box art as an original SwitchSpines design.
