How community submissions work
Every submission enters a private moderation queue before it appears in the archive. We check that the file is usable at the narrow Nintendo Switch case proportion, that the creator credit is clear, and that the design does not simply copy another community member's work. Approved designs can later receive their own archive page, download actions, print-sheet support, and a link back to the credited creator.
You do not need an account to make a first submission. Save the reference code shown after submission. Creator accounts and version management will be introduced only where they remove real friction. For now, the goal is a short path from finished design to a safely reviewed contribution.
What makes a useful spine
A successful design remains recognizable at approximately 10 mm wide. Use a strong title, a clear silhouette or original motif, and enough contrast to read from shelf distance. Avoid tiny details that disappear in print. Uploading commercial cover art without permission is not the same as creating an original fan design; use art you made, licensed assets, or a visual treatment you are allowed to share.
If you do not have a finished design yet, start in the SwitchSpines generator. It provides the correct print ratio, five layout directions, artwork positioning, and a direct submission path. If the game is missing because other collectors want it too, connect your contribution to the public request board.
